ReEvolution

Natural selection is about the survival of the fittest, but it is not perfect. How can we fix it?

Episode 6

"It All Began Here"
Synopsis

For a new life to start, a preliminary creature known as the embryo needs to be formed first.

The structure and shape of embryos, beautifully reveal how animals evolved from common ancestors.

But there are many ways for an embryo to form and develop.

Why are there different embryonic strategies (i.e. seeds, eggs, wombs) in nature?

How did these come to exist?

The need to reproduce brings animals, and humans of course, to extreme behaviors only to ensure the continuity of the species.

Could this be avoided by creating an artificial process?

Countless women and their fetuses would die during childbirth, if not for the assistance of modern medicine.

So how is it that our species (and any species for that matter) survived?

Will humans ever evolve beyond the need for a mother to carry a baby?

How the artificial wombs of the future are designed today?
